The Friends of Forest Hills Park Association has set out to replace the FHPA pool, a treasured community asset located within the Greenbrier neighborhood in Grand Rapids. The Olympic-sized outdoor pool with diving well and children's wading pool is the centerpiece of our 15 acre park. The pool has already surpassed it's lifespan and a structural failure that is beyond repair is imminent. Without substantial intervention, the pool will cease to exist, having a detrimental effect on the surrounding community.
In the fall of 2022, Greenbrier Residents and Pool Members generously pledged over $800,000 toward the $2.9 million pool replacement project. This impressive initial fundraising total provides the confidence needed to move forward with the campaign. Fundraising efforts will be driven by community volunteers and staff of the newly established 501c3, charitable foundation, the Friends of Forest Hills Park Association. In early 2023, residents began payment on pledges. The foundation is currently collecting donations and our fundraising total continues to rise!

The Forest Hills Park Association is a 15 acre park on the east side of Grand Rapids that has served our members and community for 60 years. The park includes a large heated outdoor pool with a diving area, toddler pool, 4 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, 2 bocce ball courts, playground equipment, disc golf, sand volleyball court, baseball field, and parking lot.
Association member families can participate in:
Swim lessons
Sharks Swim Team (part of W MI Swim League Club)
Tennis lessons
Clubhouse rental for birthdays or other events
Community events, i.e. pancake breakfast, 4th of July parade and cookout, yoga in the park, Boo at the Pool
For 60 years, the Forest Hills Park Association has been the heart of our Forest Hills plat community, drawing families to live here and stay here. Generations of families have shared memories here since the park was built in 1963. This park, the heart of the Greenbrier community, is where neighbors become friends. This is more than a pool, and more than a park. It’s a community.
